I first read the script to this in my offices at Pinewood Studios back in 2012 and remember getting excited about it then. Directed by Sacha Bennett who we worked with on ‘Bonded by Blood’ in my view the best Essex Boys film since the original this is his third outing as a director after ‘Outside Bet’ In this we see another great cast put together by producer Terry Stone (Rise of the Footsoldier) and his production company Gateway Films the same production company of the aforementioned films and this looks like none have lost there talent when it comes to bringing a quality piece of writing to the screen.

It stars Luke Treadaway, Emily Atack, Craig Fairbrass, Jason Maza and Terry Stone to name a few and we see Lucky who is a small time criminal and he’s happy just getting by until he agrees to look after some counterfeit money for a friend who is in a bit of trouble with the law. The heist goes almost according to plan but with one small problem - there’s minimal cash and the rest is in bonds. It all starts to go wrong immediately. A prostitute who they have hired steals the bonds and the getaway car is stolen. Worse is yet to come. The two gangsters have not done their homework and they’ve actually just robbed ‘Mr Big’s casino. Their only chance to avoid their boss’s severe retribution is to get the stuff back.

If you was born In the 70s or 80s you would have grown up watching and no doubt fallen for his boyish good looks, a confident charm, his acting that warmed you to him in such films as two of my personal faves from that time and such a great year for film 1985 ‘Back to the Future’ and 1987 ‘Secret of my Success’ but so many others such as ‘Teen Wolf’ ‘Doc Hollywood’ and more recently cameos such as hit US TV series now shown here in the UK ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and voice over work in animation films like ‘Stuart Little’

The Canadian actor who was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991, only disclosed his condition to the world in 1999 whilst starring in hit sitcom Spin City. He later left the series later to focus on helping find a cure for the disease, starting a foundation, which bears his name, to fund research toward that aim.

Well it sees that his desire, passion which I’ve read about for so long and his determination to get back into acting is now realises as art imitates life in his new forthcoming Michael J. Fox Show, in which the actor plays a news anchor returning to work despite his battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

2 NEW EXTRAS JOBS

First up we are looking for zombie extras for a new feature film.
So you up for this then you mad lot?
Details will be coming via the ‘Lynch Mob Agency’ facebook page
Also will be wanting trainee Make Up Artists for this so get in touch with them there.

Secondly we are looking for 40 chinese people so could do with your help on a feature film shooting in a couple of weeks time in London. It’s only for half a day with a BAFTA award winning cast who we have worked with before.

With also some of the best crew we have worked with before in the UK film business shooting is starting soon so if you know any Chinese then can you please pass them to this group and of course if you are Chinese and here already then apply. With needing so many this is almost guaranteed paid work as an extra for the scenes shooting in London but set in Shanghai so do this ASAP please.

At Manchester United Football Club and an evening to celebrate the courage of a young man called Bradley who suffers from ‘neuroblastoma’ and where we raised some money for him to have a better quality of life. Was a moving evening but then transformed into a tribute to him with stars from stage and screen in attendance. Thanks to event organisers Mark Busby and MB Entertainments for the ticket and the hotel, thanks to celebrity booker James ‘Jazzy Jim’ Lewis for the invite and for the Limo up to Manchester, thanks to Manchester Football Club and the promotions team for the bracelets given to us on arrival that you can see us sporting in the pictures but the biggest thanks go to Brad for showing the courage and bravery combined with strength of ambition. Was a evening of mixed emotions and one I will never forget.

Do you want to be in the film ‘Homelessness’ then read on….

So after a productive meeting just now and after an idea I had last night I’ve decided to give all that want to be in the film a chance.

The rules to be considered are simple.

We need some info and a recent photograph of you so have come up with an idea which I think you will like?

1. Find a person that sells ‘The Big Issue’ – The magazine published on behalf of and sold by homeless or vulnerably housed people and a publication in my view worth paying for.

2. Purchase a copy of ‘The Big Issue’ and by doing so you will be directly helping the plight of Homeless people in the UK.

3. Take a photo using your smart phones or cameras that you carry around with you daily with you holding your purchased ‘The Big Issue’ – You can make this whacky or as imaginative as you like, maybe include the seller with his permission but as long as we can see you clearly I don’t mind.

4. Tell me why you want to be in the film in a short statement or paragraph, it could be that you have experienced homeless yourself or you know someone close to you that is going through that now or in the past. Maybe you just want to help but whatever the reason let me know and send in along with the photograph and contact details to me as a message on Facebook, a tweet @ukhomelessness or email ukhomelessness@gmail.com.

Thanks very much and the best of luck and I will pick those I feel can bring genuine feelings, want to help and have an empathy to this ever growing problem in the UK and together we can make a difference. Thanks very much.

Announced today and Produced by Tea Shop & Film Company’s Mark Lane and James Harris (Cockneys vs Zombies) ‘47 Meters Down’ is an underwater thriller, from Noel Clarkes ‘Storage 24’ director Johannes Roberts, in which four divers become trapped at the bottom of the ocean and must traverse shark-infested waters to get back to their boat and set to shoot this summer, the cast includes Vanessa Kirby. On me congratulating the team via Twitter I have just been tweeted back by the production company asking if we have any sharks on our books. Well.not on our books but I know some producers that are sharks but thats an insult to the oceans most majestic and powerful misunderstood Apex predator.

With some of the footage aof the film already shot they will screen that at Cannes next month..

Also at Cannes is ‘The Hooligan Factory’ the first of our 2013 films we supplied supporting artists to. The Hooligan Factory: a football hooligan comedy directed by Nick Nevern and co-written with Michael Lindley. It is produced by Jason Maza, who also stars alongside Tom Burke, Steven O’Donnell, Morgan Watkins, Leo Gregory, Craig Fairbrass and Tamer Hassas. I talked to Nevern and Maza 2 nights ago at the GALA Premiere for ‘The Magnificent Eleven’ and am told It is currently in post-production. Just got to say ‘the former of these two bits of mews is just about the best news I’ve heard this year but thats an understatement’ Not excited too much about this diving and filming. Eeeekk

Had a message from Matthias Hoene the director of ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ who we supplied all the zombies and other supporting artist to but who as just finished another zombie masterpiece, both of which were filmed in Surrey.

Matthias would like to thank all of you for coming to the filming over the 3 days last week in Sutton, and Leatherhead where there is a Zombie outbreak at a village Fete and all of you that took part for all your hard work and added that on the first view of the footage and now into the edit that you all looked an acted fanatastic.

Had one of those jobs tonight and had to finalise the who I will get to do the meet and greet for our football themed film premiere and screening of ‘The Magnificent Eleven’ starring Robert Vaughn, Sean Pertwee, Paul Barber and Keith Allen for this Tuesday with all the cast in attendance and the writer Irvine ‘Trainspotting’ Welsh am pleased to say I sellected former Miss Wales and ‘Trainspotting’ fan Claire-louise and Kaytina in the end. They will be smoozing with the cast and the celebs in attendance on Tueday evening in football strips to bring a light hearted informal event.

If you look above you will see two mascots above of which are crucial to the film with a reveal at the end of the film when we see which global super stars are actually in them and am still looking for 2 event actors to carry that off but fear having played Father Christmas for 5 weeks I maybe getting into one of these and been a badger or a lion so best find some motivation for my character.

Thanks to everyone that applied and will make my decision later but to Clare-louise and Kaytina I guess am seeing you soon so congratulations,

Trying to catch up but early last week we wrapped on ‘The Fitzroy’ when they moved from the submarine into the studio and my role was over.

My role was of ‘Diving & Marine Safety Advisor’ on the film after Martin Walker the production manager and location manager of ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ asked me to come on board and look after the safety of the actors and crew.

“The Fitzroy is beached just off Margate in this post-apocalyptic black comedy set aboard a leaky hotel submarine, It’s in the vein of the early Ealing comedy’s and a cross between Fawlty Towers and Delicatessen. Written by Andrew Harmer and co-produced by Garvo and James Heath.

In the plot, the world is covered in a poisonous gas and the Fitzroy Hotel (a beached submarine) is the last place for a traditional holiday.

The hotel is sent into chaos when one of the guests murders the hotel’s owner. It is left to the Fitzroy’s hapless bellboy, to keep the hotel from falling apart as he struggles to hide the murders from the other guests and the ever-suspicious authorities.

All of which is somewhat incongruous for a submarine that played a role in the Cold War for she is in fact a Russian submarine called The Black Widow.that played tag with NATO for many years in the cold war.

The sub is Foxtrot B-39 (U 475), a Hunter Killer class, built in 1967 and for some time used for training foreign submariners – particularly Libyan, Cuban and Indian – during the Cold War. She was with the Russian Baltic Fleet until April 1, 1994, having spent 27 years in active service.

In its day, it had a crew of 77 and could stay in service for 90 days, with a surface cruising range of 30,000 miles. It was armed with 22 torpedoes including two with nuclear warheads.

The Russian designation for the Hunter Killer class submarine was Project 641, known to NATO as the Foxtrot class.with Foxtrots played a central role in some of the most dramatic incidents of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Now owned by the Soviet Submarine Company and being used for filming and corporate visits, although it is looking for a permanent home in dry dock and before we arrived it was used for a fashion shoot with a David Bowie theme for an Italian magazine. Prior to that, a documentary about the Cuban missile crisis was filmed that was shown in the UK, Russia and the USA,” .
